Cows Lying Down is a band based in Newcastle upon Tyne. They perform a toe tapping up tempo set of original songs whose lyric and tune filled compositions have become the band’s trademark.

Audiences at The Cluny, Riverside and Newcastle academy have all welcomed Cows Lying Down who are also regular participants in the festival scene. The band is now producing its fourth album of original songs..... They are very much a tune and words band whose songs conjure up scenes from an experienced life. “I see my songs as paintings with many things going on in each. People I have known or observed often inspire me.” Human strength and frailty dance through these compositions alongside the humour and spirit needed not to give up on the next moment.
